Boy between Boats - Savar, Bangladesh. February 1991

These two boys were passing pots to each other between the two boats while holding the two hulls together. Once they had finished one stepped across from one boat to another as they drifted further apart. I was already set up to photograph them and as he stepped across I fired my trigger. Just as he got a foot on each hull he turned to face towards me at almost his widest stretch while the boats continued to get further apart. I tried my trigger again and caught this moment. The boats moving and yet he looks incredibly relaxed. At the very last split-second he turned and made a leap for the other boat which he made easily. He obviously grew up to be a skilled boatman
