Ladies Dancing in street – Guilin, China. August 2004
Early morning on the streets in China is a fascinating time. Many of the older generation are out doing activities while the younger generation are rushing off to work or school. In Guilin I found a large contingent of older people dancing, either in groups or together in pairs. I love the way the older people create a sense of street community by taking part in all kinds of activities whether it be Tai Chi, dancing like these two ladies, mah-jongg or dominoes.
