Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia. I went to Angkor for the first time in 1993, hoping for good light and rich colours. It rained constantly for four days. My cameras, bar my 6x9 manual camera, all jammed and I got ill. This was the only shot I managed to take. On my return in 1999, it would have been impossible to take this picture because this whole causeway was packed by tourists, stalls and beggars. |
